I want to share a story of how a certain angel came into my life- quite unexpectedly. I have believed in angels since I was a small child. And I feel I have had many angels in my life across the years- in the form of loved ones as well as strangers. I have always tried to remember to be aware of how the energy or presence of an angel may emerge. In March of 1996, I was driving down a country road where I saw an animal crouched in my path which caused me to brake and stop my car. Looking more closely, I saw it was a little kitten. Now, I was in the midst of many transitions at the time, and was not in any position to take in an animal. But needless to say, I opened my car door, and in this kitten came. She climbed up my torso and licked me under my chin. I knew she was telling me she belonged to me. After all, kittens don’t stop cars in the road, much less jump inside and greet a stranger with such sweetness. I was smitten and I took her home with me. She lived with me for nearly 22 years and was truly an angel! She was a gift from beyond, and I thank Lilly to this day for the love, wisdom, friendship, humor and deep soul connection she gave me so generously. She will always live on in my heart.
